AS & A Level
A Level or ‘Advanced Level’, is traditionally a two-year programme that academic students study after finishing their IGCSE. Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS Level), is an independent qualification encompassing the first year of an A Level qualification.
The study program is an academically challenging and balanced program of education with final examinations that prepare students for success at university and life beyond. It has been designed to address the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being of students. The program has gained recognition and respect from the world’s leading universities.
Students are allowed to choose a minimum of three subjects with English, and the grade they achieve in each subject is counted towards the total points required to secure a place at university.
The advantage of ‘A Level’ is that students can choose to study subject-specific qualifications. And, with no compulsory subjects, students can focus on what they are passionate about and good at. Therefore, it makes the study process more enjoyable and broadens the scope of success. This programme has an enviable reputation for academic rigour and places a strong emphasis on critical thinking and intercultural understanding.

Assessment
Learners can choose from a range of assessment options to gain Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications:
- Students can take the Cambridge International AS Level only.
The syllabus content is half a Cambridge International A Level.
- Students can take a ‘staged’ assessment route – take the Cambridge International AS Level in one examination series and complete the final Cambridge International A Level at a subsequent series. AS Level marks can be carried forward to a full A Level
Cambridge holds AS & A Level examination series thrice a year, in March, June and November. Results are issued in July, August and January.
